Friday What I’m Loving!
Hello my spring chickens! got tons to share with you today… enjoy and spread the love…
Tribal travels again! This week I’m in Ohio, ready for a late Saturday afternoon of dance workshops with some fabulous midwest tribal dancers, many are new to tribal, and some are keepin’ on, because that is what you do after you are addicted to this magnificent dance–a great fun way to fitness, brain and body challenging, gorgeous movement, and camaraderie in the form of group improvisation!
yes, you can still join us in Columbus this Saturday, go here to register….
There is this new energy around Gypsy Caravan Tribal Bellydance, I know things go full circle, the never ending cycle of growth, change, focus, and re-focus as we continue our spiral around our own universe… every workshop I’ve taught lately has been full of this amazing swirling energy of desire and gratitude, passionate longing and determination, humbled ecstasy and amazement, a-ha moments and sweat of glitter. New dancers to seasoned tribal dancers of 20 years or so, with the never ending desire to continue, with tried and true, some now call it old-school tribal (as it’s been 25 years in the making!) and still with the freshness and inspired movement that flows through and out of us when we dance, together with synchronistic synergy…
Synchronistic synergy in our dance–when two or more dancers come together to be joined and united with that single intention of creating an evocative and powerful dance, as they share in our tribal structured format with the intimate and spirit-ful connections. The final art piece is greater than if it is done by one because the group magnifies the sense of movement and connection to and with each other and to the soul collective energy of the universe…yes, a bit woo woo… but so freakin’ true…and just think of how those core and earth-centered and trancy moves feel as you are doing them together…whoa….
and the circle continues…
woman of the week:
Shelby Jones of Vermont, a current student of Gypsy Caravan, Certified in Collective Soul and Teacher Training… and rockin’ the east coast with not only GC Tribal but check this out…
and a little quote that Shelby wrote last year after finishing up her training:
Dance is a bridge from the ethereal to the physical. It’s a way for the spirit to demonstrate it’s gigantic-ness, its lack of boundary; its power. Dance can draw a crowd, can hold a room, can command a space or settle a vibe. Dance is unspoken, but can speak a thousand words.

Halloween gives you permission to dress up. April Fool’s, a chance to play a prank.
What if there was one day of the year where you had permission to do things that made people say, “wow.”
Acts of generosity or bravery or insight…
What if you focused and practiced and got your nerve up and leaned way over the edge, just one day of the year? If you could get out of your comfort zone for a few hours in a way that benefitted and delighted people you care about, what would that look and feel like?
Today might be your wowday.
Up to you.
ok, so are you full up with all of this amazing ness? thanks for being here and do enjoy the bounty!
