Some folks just have a beautiful way with words… my tribal sister Becky Forster, from Australia talks about the Power of Tribal Bellydance in her life in Deirdre’s Dance Den today. Please take a moment to read it and you’ll feel that Gypsy Caravan Tribal Bellydance (TM) yumminess x
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart” ~ Hellen Keller
These words resonate with me, they are my mantra. They conjure feelings, energy, connection, the soulful beauty that finds ‘voice’ and ‘form’ that’s so much deeper than the spoken word or the ‘look’ of Tribal Bellydance. They call me to journey into this dance and to share it.
I had no idea that meeting Paulette and Jeff at an intensive workshop weekend hosted in Perth, Western Australia, in about 2005 would lead me into a world of such color, passion and creativity. I had no idea that it would bring forth the sisterhood that I share within my own dance community here in Albany (coast town in the deep south of Western Australia), across to the east of Australia with Nina (Martinez) and with many other special women around the globe.
My studies are on-going with Paulette in both the Collective Soul Intensives and Teacher Training. I’m so grateful for her mentorship in between times, for her principles and philosophical foundations that compliment my own in dance, and professionally as a Social Worker. I love that this dance has become a living entity in my life, working its magic “
Wow! This dance is life-changing – what’s your story? Want to share?
Happy, Happy Day to you x
