Working myself through the words, the photos, the trash and the downloads, the new tunes and the abundance of roses…
As a photographer, I love the visual, the still moments–can you really capture the soul of someone in a photo? As a teacher, I take delight in finding ways to share the dance with you, in so many ways that will help you to get it in your body and soul, and finding ways to help you gather it all. 
And I am enjoying my hand at being a videographer, filming these little snippets of dance classes to help pass on the moves and cues and combos, from the beginning to the newest to the complex moves, and simply reviewing to catch the subtleness of our dance for our online classes. Then there is the not always so simple editing (with the nice learning curve!) as I teach myself more technology. Knowing in a weekly class there is repetition, drilling, focus, with something new and something familiar, then allowing time for muscle memory and integration-which is the repetition. And I know how hard it can be to participate in any sort of home study course and keep motivated and connected to it. That’s one reason I love my newest series of online classes. They are shorter clips of a dance class, usually 15-25 minutes long, to add to your day. Some technique, different angles and bodies to view, drilling, and a little check in with me to keep you dancing, and voila, you continue on your day. But these clips are there for you to dance with, whenever you want, everyday, or a few times a week. ***AND, I also love to know what you want and need from me in these classes, so I would love for you to take a quick survey, if you have a few minutes, and tell me what you desire in one of my classes, or in my blogs and writing!
