  • What dancers are saying:

The Tribal Quest Experience is a great way to connect with my dance, sisters around the word, to reflect, explore, challenge myself, working the moves, flinging my hair about and expanding the joy in my heart a little bit more. Each week setting aside ‘me’ time * soft smile….RF

so much enjoyed being a part of Tribal Quest. It re-inspired me into exploring more into developing my own voice in the tribal community. I loved the drills and meditations. My goal this spring and summer season it to bring some of the passion I found by doing this into my own teaching and enriching the tribal community here in New England. Then hopefully fingers crossed onto a Collective Soul….. AW

Getting a routine established. Enjoying the pranayama breathing tech in Cinzia Di Cioccio as it sets me up for the day and I use it in the evening to unwind. Sarah’s exercises are strengthening and stretch my body, building my stamina. feels good…have put the meditation on my tablet and using it at intervals that present themselves in my schedule. Great mini break…BF

I  used the program as a way to schedule regular ‘me’ time. To work on overall health, listening to what came up in my body, thoughts, what my eating pattern was reflecting about my health……To regularly undertake dance drills and review and refine moves. Quiet time through the mediation. Connect and share with other gals on the journey instead of being quiet 🙂 Food for thought to continue on questing.

How do the weekly sessions work?

First of all, it is all online. What that means is that you get to do it on your own time, morning, afternoon, evening, middle of the night (!) whenever works for you. And because there are different sections, some short and some longer ( 5-30 minutes) you can fit them into your schedule when you are ready. No pressure, no lateness, just do the exercises as often as you can. Gotta love that! And you have the materials for life!

Once a week, I send you an email, full of all the goodness, with a PDF to download, with instructions of course, plus MP3s to download, and video links (on Vimeo) with secret passwords (because this is a private class, not intended to be passed around please). And you have the whole week to get through the items sent, as many times as you want!

What you will need for this course?

  • Your computer and the ability to download PDFs, and MP3s, plus watch videos on Vimeo (with a secret password)
  • To PURCHASE: Wild Feminine, the book by Tami Lynn Kent, will be referred to, so I suggest buying it from Amazon.com, here.
  • You will want a journal and pen to write in, a space just for you to read, write, meditate in, a larger space to workout, do yoga, and dance.
  • And of course you will want to get in your kitchen to try out some of Cristi’s recipes!

Bios of our inspiring instructors!

Paulette Rees-Denis

You might know Paulette Rees-Denis as a globe trotting, honkytonkin’ nomad, tribal bellydancing instructor, but really, as an instigator of feminine empowerment, her work is ultimately about guiding women on a Dance and Vision journey to empower them through movement, words, and personal creative beauty.

As a writer and an international dance force for the past twenty five years, her bio is impressively long, but to share a few: she wrote the book,Tribal Vision: A Celebration Of Life Through Tribal Belly Dance, has been featured in magazines (such as Zaghareet, Fuse, Shimmy), and other books (The Tribal Bible, The Bellydance Book). She teaches workshops and Certification Intensives at festivals around the world, and has produced several awardwinning DVDs and CDs with her performing group, The Gypsy Caravan Dance Company.

Tami Lynn Kent

is a holistic women’s healthcare visionary, and a mother and writer. She guides women in activating the energy of their bodies and reclaiming the wild in themselves. Understanding the creative essence within your own center is the key for giving life to your dreams. She is author of Mothering From Your Center, and Wild Femininehttp://www.wildfeminine.com/

Sarah Rose Jarolimek

is a nationally-insured ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Take Shape For Life Health Coach. Sarah’s love for health and fitness have long held a place in her heart; only in the last few years has she been able to share her vision with others. After experiencing three successive Achilles’ tendon ruptures in one year (while obtaining her Fitness Technology certificate), Sarah gained a unique perspective on the joy of movement, and what gifts it can bring to those who haven’t fully experienced it. Sarah has a diverse background in physical activity having dabbled in dance, martial arts, and competitive sports like roller derby. Some might say she has a bit of a short attention span when it comes to hobbies, but she would tell you anything’s worth trying at least once! This attitude is the foundation of Sarah’s vision: Only you can dream your reality. You have one body in this lifetime; treat it well and you have a vessel through which you can experience the world in joy.

Cinzia Di Cioccio

I am fascinated by the mysterious energy that connects me to Tribal Bellydance and Yoga. I am moved by the ancient ritualistic feeling of being in a circle of women, feet stepping to mesmerising repetitive movements and the flow of grace between us as we move. Filling my body with music, dance and knowledge makes me joyful, strong and beautiful. And I want to be able to share this. As a teacher I want to give my students technique but I also want them to feel the passion. To let these emotions resonate into all parts of their lives.

 Karen Hunt

I’ve been dancing Tribal Belly Dance with Paulette since the mid-1990’s, performing as a member of Gypsy Caravan, before that, Sister Caravan and  Gypsy Heart Tribal. I was drawn to tribal belly dance after seeing Gypsy Caravan perform in 1994. It was if the women were communicating with the musicians and each other without words, and it was mesmerizing. I felt compelled to share it with the community and through performance, and continue on the Tribal path to share and celebrate each other!
