Dance, Desire, Bliss
I talk/write much about these three words, don’t I? It is my reason d’etre and passion! And to be able to bring and share so many aspects of these dreams to you makes me giddy…
I am continuously experimenting with new ideas and projects, some work, some don’t, and when I know they do and can get the effect I desire, for me, I share them with you. So exciting. And then I always have my tried and true and REAL methods that I continue to use over the years.
One of those is the Walk To Nowhere, a walking meditation. I continue to do this walk, as I have the past 25 years. I love it! I really believe in moving meditations, as much as sitting meditations. I am a mover, and while it is necessary to be still and listen and quiet the mind and body, it is as beneficial to move it in a trancey dancey way too…for oh, soooo many reasons! What are those benefits of a moving meditation?
The long repetition helps put you in the meditative zone. It brings on a calmness, helps bad moods evaporate, gets clear for a brighter focus, moves the body, reenergizes, and gets the joints juiced, just to name a few.
Have you ever done a moving meditation? There are many cultural styles of this, like Sufi Whirling as one, or the Zar, or the Guedra…all different and used for different purposes.
The ones I have used in my courses are based on some of these old methods, but also brought into our contemporary lives, as is my Gypsy Caravan Tribal Bellydance ®.
I live in the now, in our crazy, super full, over multi-tasked, and wonderfullly delightful world. And I need daily peace, passion, bliss, and creative juices to flow through me so that I can live my wholest, healthiest, and happiest, on a daily basis. And to do that, I move my body… somedays it is not as much as I would like to, and some days I rock it all day long!
I don’t ever want to take my body or mind or soul for granted. I am not invinceable (like I thought I was when I was 20!). And that means filling myself up with healthy delicious food that makes me feel good, doing the small things daily that I love, feeling the gratitude that I have made my life what I want it to be. And getting as clear as I can, by journaling, questioning, answering, and moving. This is the ultimate self-love. Right? If you don’t love yourself, why should anyone else love you? And how can you spread the love if you aren’t feeling it?
What do you do on a daily basis to keep yourself full of loving juices?
Do you need some ideas, some inspiration, a guide and a coach? That’s me…I invite you to get your body moving, and all that goodness, with my Tribal Bliss course
